Though I now call North Carolina home, I am originally from West Virginia. I was born on October 1, 1974 in the town of Ripley and grew up in a small community outside of town called Evans. I have one brother David, who still lives in Evans. He is a saftey engineer and works Bowen Contractors. My parents are Dallas and Carolyn Wallen, both of whom were teachers. Dad taught mathematics at the same school for 33 years. Mom taught elementary and middle school for 31 years.

     I have been married for two years to an East Carolina girl named Julie and we live in Winterville, North Carolina.
